What a Culture, What a Vibe, What Magnificent People
by Thomas, PS Mentorvisor
As I rode home dirty, mosquito bitten and exhausted from our final camp at Pacific Spirit last Sunday I decided that I needed to write something about CTS and what it and much more importantly all of YOU have done for me.
I’ll spare the details, but to be to the point I’ve faced many personal struggles over the last few years. This last year in particular and through this summer has seen me at my lowest – I’ve faced many the dark day.
I'm here to introduce myself as the new Program Director for Catching the Spirit...and I couldn't be more thrilled about it! I come to you from the high seas of Burnaby Lake, where I've been a Mentorvisor for the past two years. Getting involved with Catching the Spirit has been life changing. I've been amazed and uplifted and inspired by the young folk who are the heart of CTS.
The CTS Youth Council and its amazing group of executives is a community that I’m proud to say is the reason why I became involved with an organization that has changed my life – Catching the Spirit.
This is going to be the first of many blog entries to come, all authored by your brilliant Youth Council group. As this next year kicks off with a bang, I’d like to reminisce about some of the great events that the Grand Youth Council organized last year, and events that you can all expect to happen in the coming year.
