Pass Parks Forward Contest

How well do you know Metro Vancouver Regional Parks.  Check out this contest being presented by Metro Vancouver Regional Parks and the Pacific Parklands Foundation: 

Are you ready to RUN? Have FUN? Frolic in the SUN!  Hurry and get your team registered for the CTS Amamzing Race 2015!

Where: Burnaby Lake Regional Park (from the Burnaby Lake Nature House to CTS Office - Picken House)

Time: 1 to 5 PM

Where to meet/check in:  Burnaby Lake Nature House, 4519 Piper Ave., Burnaby BC, V5A 3B5 (off Wisnston Street)

Finish location/pick up: CTS office, Picken House 6825 Cariboo Road, Burnaby BC V3N 4A3

Space is limited and you must register prior to the race.  Registration closed Friday September 25 at 1PM.

Attention all Peer Leaders & Participants:
Application deadline for the 2015 Dr. M. Wosk Scholarship for Youth Environmental Leadership is October 3, 2015 by 5 pm. All applicants will be notified by email confirming receipt of their application. Successful candidates will be selected by October 17 and recognized at Fall Parksfest 2015, held at SFU in Burnaby on November 1, 2015.  For more Information: 

Hey there parents! CTS will be hosting a Parent Info Night here at Picken House in the evening on June 9th. If you're new to the program or just want to find out more information about CTS please feel free to stop by anytime between 6:30 and 8:30. Our Mentorvisors, Registration Coordinator and Exceutive Director will be on site to answer any questions you might have about the upcoming CTS 2015 Summer Season. This event is a drop-in/ open house style event so, again, feel free to stop by for a few minutes at a time that works for you. We hope to see you there!

Calling All Peer Leaders! Ready for a challenge?  Ready to lead your peers, aged 12 to 18 in a rewarding summer experience?  CTS is now calling youth age 15 to 18 to apply as program Peer Leaders.  

Challenge your leadership skills and outdoor savvy or dare them to new heights this summer.  Apply now thru November 2, 2015 to be a CTS Peer Leader for 2016

It is with great pleasure that Catching the Spirit welcomes Robert (Bob) Gunn as the Executive Director.  Bob previously served as Chair of the Catching The Spirit Youth Society for 8 years and was instrumental in the development and delivery of the CTS program during this time. Effectively January 2015, Bob has taken leave from his position as the Program Head / Instructor of the Fish, Wildlife and Recreation program at the British Columbia Institute of Technology to focus on the further development and delivery of the CTS program over the next year or two.
